Tympaki: ‘Colloquium on innovations in vegetable fertilisation’
A colloquium on the subject of ‘Innovations in vegetable fertilisation – The case of biostimulants, innovation through the Rural Development Programme’, will be held in Tympaki, Heraklion, Crete, on Thursday 21 September 2023 at 07:00 p.m. at the headquarters of the Agro Fruit and Vegetable Cooperative of Tympaki, in the BoD meeting room (Anadasmos, Tympaki, Postal Code: 70200).
Producers interested in the developments of the Common Agricultural Policy and new solutions to crop fertilisation can attend the colloquium. Besides the Common Agricultural Policy, they will have the opportunity to also learn about Measure 16 ‘COOPERATION’, and the transition to the new interventions of the CAP 2023-2027 SP by GAIA EPICHEIREIN, a primary production sector service provider.
Speakers from the Laboratory of Vegetable Production of the Agricultural University of Athens and from HUMOFERT and MUGAVERO, companies with long-standing experience in plant nutrition, will present new approaches and technologies for vegetable fertilisation, while emphasis will be placed on biostimulants, which have been used in recent years in vegetable fertilisation.
The colloquium is being held in the context of the approved pilot project of the ‘VIO-PROSARMOGI’ Operational Group, which concerns the implementation and evaluation of innovative biostimulants that reduce plant needs as regards water and fertilisers in greenhouse tomato crops.
The project is being implemented in the context of Measure 16 – ‘Cooperation’ of Greece’s Rural Development Programme 2014-2022.
The members of the ‘VIO-PROSARMOGI’ Operational Team are GAIA EPICHEIREIN S.A., the Laboratory of Vegetable Production of the Agricultural University of Athens, the Agricultural Cooperative of Tympaki, and the ‘Anatoli’ Agricultural Association.
The main goal of its pilot project is to study the effects of using innovative biostimulants on greenhouse tomatoes. The project proposes to Greek producers ways to increase the production and nutritional value of Greek products.
