GAIA EPICHEIREIN S.A.
GAIA EPICHEIREIN was founded in 2014 as a result of a wider alliance between agricultural cooperatives that collaborated with strategic partners from the IT and banking sectors in order to serve a common vision for a more sustainable and competitive Greek agriculture. GAIA EPICHEIREIN develops significant activity and provides services that cover a wide range of needs of the primary and agri-food sector operators of the country. A key parameter for their development is the systematic monitoring and coordination with European and international developments that affect the national primary and agri-food sector as well as Greek producers. Emphasis is given on the course of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), which constitutes the basic framework of reference and support for all representatives of the primary and agri-food sector of the EU as well as for national administrations.
LABORATORY OF HORTICULTURAL CROPS OF THE A.U.A.
The Laboratory of Horticultural Crops of the Agricultural University of Athens was founded in 1979. The research activity of the Laboratory is in outdoor, greenhouse and hydroponic horticultural crops, propagating material, post-harvest handling and horticultural physiology. The Laboratory organizes seminars for agronomists, young farmers and those interested in horticultural crops. Since 1982, the staff has been developing research activity in the agri-food sector, resulting in the publication of numerous scientific papers.
AGRICULTURAL GARDENING – OLIVE TYMPAKI COOPERATIVE
The A.C.O.P.G. of Tympaki was founded in 1945. The Cooperative develops activities in the production, standardization and marketing of agricultural products, its members are engaged in the production of horticulture and olive oil and has facilities such as an agricultural supply store, a transport agency for the distribution of products in Athens and Thessaloniki and a modern packaging plant. The Cooperative exports to European countries such as Germany, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania and Russia.
AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVE OF GARDEN PRODUCERS OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF IERAPETRA “ANATOLI”
A.C. Anatoli was founded in 2000, is active in the production, processing and delivery of products and is certified based on GLOBAL GAP, AGRO 2.1 & 2.2, ISO22000, ISO 9001, IFS, BRC and CRETACERT standards. It provides services related to new methods of cultivation and protection of production, supplies producers with agricultural inputs and formulates cultivation programs for each producer. Finally, it undertakes to advise producers on the rational use of water.
